Downhole Pressure Sensor

TK – U5 90 Downhole Pressure Sensor

Downhole Pressure Sensor - Telektron India

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The TK – U5 90 Downhole Pressure Sensor uses a fully active four arm Wheatstone bridge, dielectrically isolated bulk silicon sensing element based on proprietary technology. This sensor is designed to withstand the high pressure, high temperature environments that are common in downhole oil & gas exploration. The compact design allows for installation in downhole tools without sacrificing space. Standard offering includes a cone process connection, compensated millivolt output signal. An additional PT1000 RTD temperature output is standard for further measurement capabilities.

The product has undergone rigorous high and low temperature cycles during the production
process. No less than two thousand pressure fatigue tests.

The product has the characteristics of high accuracy, wide operating temperature range, small temperature drift, high stability, high reliability, vibration resistance, shock resistance, and radiation resistance.

Very suitable for pressure measurement in downhole oil fields with harsh environments and
demanding reliability.

KEY STRENGTHS

  1. High Pressure and High Temperature: Designed to operate in extreme downhole conditions-exceeding 20,000 psi and 200 degrees C (392 degrees F).
  2. Robust Materials: Made from corrosion-resistant materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, or titanium to withstand harsh chemical environments.
  3. Miniature Design: The compact design allows for easy installation in confined spaces or specialized tool assemblies.
  4. High Accuracy and Stability: Provides reliable data over extended periods under challenging conditions.

APPLICATIONS

  1. Oil and Gas Exploration: Records the reservoir pressure, production rates, and fluid movement in real time.
  2. Reservoir Management: Used for conducting pressure buildup or drawdown testing and analysis.
  3. Artificial Lift Optimization: Provides feedback for gas lift or ESP (Electric Submersible Pump) systems.
  4. Geothermal Wells: Measures pressure and temperature in high-heat reservoirs.
  5. Drilling Operations: Supports managed pressure drilling (MPD) and underbalanced drilling (UBD).
