Oxygen is well known for its life saving property yet it is a hazardous gas. Oxygen gas can explode if pressurised to above 400 bar, therefore it is not pressurised above 350 bar. Handling of high pressure oxygen requires a trained technician to work on it. Gas Boosters are required to pressurise oxygen for various Applications.

Key Features Of Gas Boosters :
The Oxygen gas booster plants are stationary, fixed installations, isolated from a source of heat, electrical sparking or combustible materials to prevent explosive conditions. Oxygen gas boosters can be trolley mounted for convenience of carriage to application sites. The cabinet carries instrumentation control panel enclosed behind lockable doors.
The trolley is designed to have easy manoeuvrability by having two front wheels to swivel at their axis. A tow bar is fitted with a large eye section. It can be towed by hand, a tractor or a van conveniently. Breaks are provided for holding the unit stationary.
Application :
Oxygen Gas is a hazardous gas to handle. Pneumatically operated gas boosters are designed to boost the oxygen pressure in a bottle to 200 to 300 bar for controlled breathing requirements of firefighting, diving and life saving operations, especially for escaping from submarines in the event of an emergency. We designed such systems
for Indian Naval Submarines. The escape suits have provision to accommodate small gas bottles at 220 bar pressure which meet controlled breathing requirements of a human being at different depths for safe evacuation.
Oxygen gas at controlled pressure is introduced into a Hyperbaric chamber where the patients are placed with conditions of burn, third stage wounds or regeneration of internal organs. This is one of the advanced medical support system for intensive care/treatment.
